Alternative Lodging:If you are a local church that would love to host a youth group trying to save hotel costs, or if you're a youth group coming and want to find out if there are any churches interested in hosting you, you can register as a community member of the Gate site (it's free, and you get access to all kinds of cool stuff), then visit the Gate ‘10 category in the user forums and look for the link marked "Need a church or have a church?" and post your request or the availability of your church. Food (we couldn't forget that part!):There are the infamous Hotel Restaurants in the Marriott Town Center and the Holiday Inn Charleston House. There is also The Town Center Mall Food Court directly across from the Civic Center and Marriott. Travel:Most of you will be traveling to the conference in buses and vans that break down a lot. We suggest as your travel that you anoint your transportation with oil, pray a lot, and have air freshener handy…we all know what church vehicles smell like!
